When information is being communicated to an audience it is very important that the speaker can be heard clearly.*

3 Dimensions worked with the Department of Engineering to specify LT4-2the ceilings and wall linings required to enhance the acoustic performance of Lecture Theatre 4.

Ecophon Master Alpha suspended ceiling tiles were installed wall-to-wall throughout the 100m2 room together with a Master Gamma sound reflector area.

Master Extra Base overlay was installed above the new ceiling to improve sound absorption in the low frequency range.

In addition Ecophon edge C sound absorbing panels were installed on two walls to reduce flutter echo. Other works completed on this project included: building works, carpentry, electrical, decoration, and scaffolding.
