SAIC

Glazed & Acoustic Partitions

3 Dimensions was chosen by SAIC to refurbish part of the second floorSAIC-Ltd-020 at their Castle Park offices in Cambridge.

Our brief was to provide 16 single offices, a meeting room and a computer server room.

3 Dimensions worked with the Facilities Manager of SAIC to produce CAD drawings to indicate the proposed layout. We also dealt with the local authority building regulations ensuring the project was installed to current standards.

New Prima solid and glazed demountable partitions were installed. Glazed modules were incorporated above door head height to let in natural light from external windows while retaining privacy in the offices.

The existing CAT II recessed lighting was altered to suit the new partition layout and additional emergency lights were installed in the corridor areas.

Telephone and data cabling was run beneath the raised access floor and electrical cabling was installed above the existing suspended ceiling.

Air conditioning was installed in the server room to control heat gain within the area.

Other works completed on this project included: Fire protection, carpeting, kitchen alterations, heating and plumbing, carpentry, and blind installation.
