Office Refurbishment and Laboratory Fit out

3 Dimensions completed this project as specialist sub-contractor to a kodaktrade customer.

Prima performance partitions were installed to form cellular offices and laboratories. Partitioning consisted of full height solid modules, mid and full height double glazed window panels with integral blinds and Ash doors with DDA regulation sized vision panels.

Suspended ceilings were installed throughout. Acoustic tiles were installed in the office areas whilst PVC faced wipeable tiles were installed in laboratory areas. Modular recessed light fittings with Cat II louvres were incorporated within the ceiling.

Storage/multimedia wall system in Ash finish was installed, fully utilizing the height available. This versatile system not only provides shelving, pull out, suspension & lateral filing but also sink units and wardrobe facilities.

Seals were used to prevent light passing through gaps around doors stopping light pollution to Dark room areas.

Other works completed on this project included: complete site strip out, kitchen installation, carpet and vinyl flooring, decorating, electrical and mechanical, data and communications cabling, laboratory fit out and furniture installation.

SAIC

Glazed & Acoustic Partitions

3 Dimensions was chosen by SAIC to refurbish part of the second floorSAIC-Ltd-020 at their Castle Park offices in Cambridge.

Our brief was to provide 16 single offices, a meeting room and a computer server room.

3 Dimensions worked with the Facilities Manager of SAIC to produce CAD drawings to indicate the proposed layout. We also dealt with the local authority building regulations ensuring the project was installed to current standards.

New Prima solid and glazed demountable partitions were installed. Glazed modules were incorporated above door head height to let in natural light from external windows while retaining privacy in the offices.

The existing CAT II recessed lighting was altered to suit the new partition layout and additional emergency lights were installed in the corridor areas.

Telephone and data cabling was run beneath the raised access floor and electrical cabling was installed above the existing suspended ceiling.

Air conditioning was installed in the server room to control heat gain within the area.

Other works completed on this project included: Fire protection, carpeting, kitchen alterations, heating and plumbing, carpentry, and blind installation.

Cambridge University, Department of Engineering

Acoustic Ceiling Tiles and Wall Panels

When information is being communicated to an audience it is very important that the speaker can be heard clearly.*

3 Dimensions worked with the Department of Engineering to specify LT4-2the ceilings and wall linings required to enhance the acoustic performance of Lecture Theatre 4.

Ecophon Master Alpha suspended ceiling tiles were installed wall-to-wall throughout the 100m2 room together with a Master Gamma sound reflector area.

Master Extra Base overlay was installed above the new ceiling to improve sound absorption in the low frequency range.

In addition Ecophon edge C sound absorbing panels were installed on two walls to reduce flutter echo. Other works completed on this project included: building works, carpentry, electrical, decoration, and scaffolding.

Aluminium Partition Framework

3 Dimensions completed this project as specialist sub-contractor to a trade customer.

The client requested a new suite of offices to be finished in a colour scheme reflecting their new corporate image.Chocolate3

Metal stud partition walls were built and Aluminium H partition framework in Satin Anodised Aluminium (SAA) finish was installed into prepared openings. The full height single centre glazing and window manifestation provides a stunning visual effect. Wood veneered doors and over panels with DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant vision panels were fitted.

A lay-in grid suspended ceiling incorporating recessed down lighters not only looks pleasant, but also conceals the essential services above.

Other works completed on this project included: fire protection, dry-lining, tape and jointing, floor tiling, carpentry, electrical works, fire detection, and decoration.

Buckingham & Stanley Cambridge Saab

Frameless Glass Partitioning

Our brief was to upgrade the showroom and associated office spaceSaab-Showroom-1 to reflect the new Saab corporate identity, providing a 'White Box' to highlight the cars not the surroundings.

Avanti Solare frameless glass partitioning system was chosen to allow Saab window graphics to be applied. New Avanti Designer partitions were installed incorporating double glazed modules and glass doors to provide offices for the Managing Director and the sales team.

The existing ceiling tiles were replaced to give a flat monolithic appearance.

New feature spot and track lighting was installed delivering a high light output and providing smart modern lines.

Other works completed on this project included: air conditioning, telephone and data cabling, plumbing, plastering, floor tiling, decoration, and small building work.
